At the end of 2013 I decided that it was high time that I started a blog. My motivation? Well for the last couple of years I have been following the blogs of a number of others – notably Andy Howell’s Must Be This Way ( I will include links to my favourite blogs when I figure out how to do it) and have learned a lot of practical and fun stuff from following these blogs. I hope that my blog will provide interesting reading to others In addition to the odd venting of spleen I shall look to be writing on a few Key Topics: Hill Walking / Backpacking Flying – I have a share in a rather old but full of character Cessna 172; I plan to record details of some of the routes I fly, the people I fly with and the adventures I have Kayaking – a recently acquired hobby; hopefully over the next few years my progress shall be measured through these pages Micro-Adventuring – this is a term I have picked up from Alistair Humphrey’s excellent site http://www.alastairhumphreys.com/microadventures-2/ take a look there. My aim is to complete at least 8 micro-adventures each year. I shall write these up here. I shall also be chucking in a few book reviews and recipes that I have enjoyed as I go.
